Welcome to the forum.
If you sell your Ranger will you have another vehicle to drive? The Maverick isn’t supposed to start shipping for a few months?

Well the decision has been made. I'm ordering a Maverick. Not selling the Ranger, only going to trade the Fiesta and sell my body for the extra cash...

I am however pissed off. They don't offer AWD with the 2.5 hybrid engine for one. AWD is only available with the 2.0 Ecoboost which I'm not a fan of.

And second, in order to get a sliding rear window they force you to get the stupid copilot 360 system. What do those two things have to do with each other!!! That makes zero sense. It basically makes a sliding window a $600 dollar option!?!

My build price came out to roughly $24,000 which is still an amazing price in my opinion. I'm just going back and forth between AWD or FWD because I really want the 2.5 hybrid but AWD could be very helpful in the winter. And the 2.0 Ecoboost has never been a favorite of mine.

Congrats on making the Decision. I hope they offer different interior options soon. Black would be good.

FWD is fine in winter, i.e. any of my FWD cars could go anywhere my 4WD Ranger could around the city.
Having the weight on the front drive wheels and PULLING the weight of a vehicle vs pushing it(RWD) is the big difference

The Fiesta must have done better in winter than the RWD Ranger?

The Maverick AWD rear differential will not be available with locker at this time, I think the new Bronco has that so maybe some day

So IMO, go with FWD 2.5l hybrid

Well I tried to reserve one but my dealer never contacted me back so I guess I gotta find a different dealer. I've definitely decided on the FWD hybrid but I'm keeping the ranger. According to specs the Maverick will actually get the same if not better mileage than my fiesta anyway so I'm just gonna sell that privately and keep the ranger for my fishing truck/toy. I can get a crazy price for the ranger but to me it's worth more than the fiesta, I only bought the fiesta as a throw away car anyway.

I could give you the contact info for the guy I’ve gotten my 2011 and order my 2019 through. He works in Western PA though, so I’m not sure how that would work for you. He’s fair to deal with. He’s in it to make money like anyone but won’t screw you over. Just let me know and I’ll send his contact info to you.

EDIT: @Dirtman, he's interested in working with you if you are up for it.

If he buys it out of state, he won’t pay the taxes until he registers it in NJ... Then you have to pay the tax in cash at the DMV. You can’t roll it into the payments.
Also it won’t have a 5 year NJ inspection. You have to go to an inspection station and you only get a 2 year sticker.
It’s only worth it if you can get a great deal because both DMV and the inspection stations are by appointment only and backed up by at least a month right now.
