I traded my beloved 2003 Ranger in for a 2016 Ram 1500 a few years ago since I'm getting old and my left knee was too messed up to drive a manual anymore.

The RAM is a fine tuck, but I'm not very tall and can;t reach into the bed and have been waiting for a compact truck again, so we shall see what I buy next.

That’s an issue on all new trucks out there now. The bedsides are massive. The manufacturers have been making them taller and less functional... it’s a numbers game. the taller bedside allows them to claim a larger volume for marketing purposes. It doesn’t change the amount of useful space in the bed.

Hopefully the Maverick changes that.

That tall sidebed is why I don't have a truck now. My 03 Edge went away, as my kiddo's carseat became more and more necessary, as was room for the wif.
The new Mav, though? Oh yeah, that's comin' to live at my house..
